As part of there ongoing mission to serve the recovery community worldwide, Intherooms.com has now officially opened there National AA Meetings Database. For those unfamiliar with IntheRooms, it is a recovery networking community (online) that is dedicated to connecting people in recovery across border lines and fellowship lines using the world wide web.
The IntheRooms.com National AA Meetings Database is really a big deal because it is the first of its kind. It is the only database that allows people in recovery to update the AA meetings schedules in real time. By using an interface similar to Wikipedia, anyone can go in to the database and correct AA Meetings hours and locations and can also add a brand new meeting right away.
One InTheRooms.com member, WDavenport, described it in the following way: “It’s great to know that the people at InTheRooms.com are working on a database that’ll not only benefit ITR members, but anyone in recovery whether they’ve heard of ITR or not – whether they want to become part of ITR or not.”
